5. Get a pedicure - DONE 4/25/15
In all my 22 years of living, I never got a pedicure from a nail salon until this day. (Still never had a manicure, but that's a different story. I'm not a huge fan of painting my hand nails anyway.)
Amanda was getting married in like a week, so it was a perfect excuse to go and get our nails did. I was really excited to go because, only shortly before this, I learned that certain places will basically give you a foot massage too. Um yes please! Although, I was self-conscious of how my feet looked, so I basically cut my toenails and cleaned my feet before we went. (Am I the only one that does stuff like that? Like washing your hair before you go to get your hair cut, even though you know they're going to do it?)
When we got to the nail salon at the mall, the first thing we had to do was pick our color. Luckily we had a long wait because it took a little while to choose. They had so many different colors and styles! I finally settled on a reddish-pink color although I probably had a similar shade at home. I should have branched out...but I like reddish-pinks.
Not only did we get a calf/foot massage with exfoliating lotions, we also sat in massage chairs and our feet sat in a warm bubble bath. It was niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. I don't know why I had not listened/not been told about these great things when people brought up pedicures. It was also really good to catch up with Amanda and learn how wedding plans were going. I had been married for almost 4 months so I got to reminisce on how my wedding day went and share some tips :) Good times!
Now that it's almost been a year and I'm remembering how great it was, I really want to go get another pedicure. Once this semester is over, I'm definitely going to need (and deserve) one.
