Addiction? | #73 - No Facebook

Image
73. Week without Facebook - DONE 1/3/16 - 1/10/16 I admit it. I'm addicted to Facebook. I don't post very much, but I get on all the time. I have used almost any spare moment to go on Facebook - eating, watching movies, studying. Sometimes I would feel like I didn't do enough fun activities or I didn't have anything good to say. I usually only felt this way in hard times, but it had been affecting me a lot around this time, so I used this item to take a break. It was really hard, and I ended up spending more time on YouTube and Instagram. So I don't really know how much it actually helped haha :) I did have to get on once to share a post about some auditions for my senior project, but I didn't look at my feed so I still think it's fine. I'm currently trying to spend less time on Facebook because political stuff is bumming me out. While it kind of sucks, I hope it helps me become less addicted to social media. I have had a couple days this week

Christmas Service | #32 - Rest Home

32. Visit a rest home (sing, play games, listen) - DONE 12/20/15  I don't have any pictures of this, but Jonathan and I were able to participate in a sacrament service at a rest home. Our ward had an assignment there and we were asked to help with the Christmas program. We got to talk to some sweet ladies and we sang a lot of Christmas hymns. It was a great! I really want to spend some more time at a rest home in the future, but specifically to talk and listen to amazing people :)

Super Buy | #34 - Swimming Suit

Image
34. Buy a new swimming suit - DONE 6/30/15 I had my previous swimming suit since my senior year of high school, so it was obviously time to get a new one. I am pretty proud of this swimming suit purchase. I found it at Downeast and loved it, but they didn't have my size. As a person who has a hard time finding stuff I like, I was determined to see if I could get my size at a different store. I ended up going to nearly every Downeast in Utah County, but I found it! And the best part, I GOT IT FOR $6!! It was on sale AND I had a gift card. I definitely accomplished this one.

Dance Away the Exercise | #33 - Zumba

Image
33. Zumba!! - DONE 6/2/15 I'm more likely to exercise when I can do something that will let me forget I'm exercising. I think dancing is one of the best ways to do that. I've used the "Just Sweat" feature on Just Dance and I love it. I also used to do an exercise video on Netflix that was based around salsa dancing. Now, I'm terrible at dancing (the first time I took a dance class I dislocated my knee) , but I think it's super fun. I've always wanted to try Zumba, and so, with the encouragement and company of the wonderful Sara, I did! We found a class at the Orem Rec Center and got to dancin'. The instructor was super fun and it was definitely a work out. My knees suck and I'm way out of shape, but I would totally do go again.   Before Zumba...       After Zumba...

Decemberists and Dinner | #99 - Denny's

Image
99. Denny's at midnight - DONE 5/27/15 This list item came about because I wanted to fit in , and I love breakfast food at any hour of the day. I felt like everyone I knew had been to Denny's at midnight. From stories I was told, this usually happened because of late night talks while wanting food or wanting to go to a sit-down place to eat after a big evening event. My late night food adventures usually consisted of going to the Del Taco drive-thru for churros. I wanted a late night Denny's story too! And now I have one. I think it's a pretty good one too. At least the long version is. It's where I also get to tell about an awesome concert experience . It all starts with a super cute husband. He likes the Decemberists but had never been to one of their concerts. They were coming to Salt Lake. I decided to surprise him with tickets for his birthday! (He later claimed that he was not surprised when he opened them, but I don't know how in the WORLD he could
