The Me Monthly - Volume 7
ME THIS MONTH
This month has been good! We had a pretty uneventful New Year's Eve - just played games and spent the night at my in-law's. Then on the 12th, we had a faux New Year's Eve party with our friends! My high school friends and I used to throw New Year's Eve parties with friends all the time, and it's become kind of a tradition for me. A group of our friends were all busy or out of town on the 31st, so we decided to postpone it, but still party! We played tons of games, I discovered a love for cucumber sandwiches, and we even had confetti poppers! (Sara is the best)
Other things of note this month! I finally got stuff up for my Etsy shop and officially opened by sharing it on Facebook and Instagram! A few friends and family have followed my stuff, and some random people favorited a few of my designs! It's been about 2 weeks and I still don't have any sales yet, but I didn't totally expect to. I'm going to need to do a lot more marketing, and create a lot more content. However, I am currently working on a logo for someone, I'm doing some extra stuff for my Relief Society and scouting groups, and I may have another regular client. And I've been doing some last minute stuff for work the last few days, and it's just cool to see it in action. If you go to oillife.com, the three rotating banners on the homepage were all done by me! While Etsy might be slow for a while, at least I still have work to do!
Last thing, I've already decided to make a change to one of my list items, 48. Be able to sing 5 different anime theme songs - to - Watch 5 new anime by myself. I feel like I'm cheating or something, but I think I'll like this better, it's similar, and I've technically already started it. AND this is my list and I can do what I want haha :) Jonathan introduced me to anime and I've grown to love it, so I might as well watch some on my own! I'll post this one in Number News with the date I finish each one. I'm on my second (Snow White below), and I would love more suggestions!
Watching: Snow White with the Red Hair!! It makes my romantic, girly heart just squeal with joy and cuteness overload :D
Knowing: my actual weight, and I'm not a fan haha ;)
Wanting: to buy stuff online. Is it silly that I really just want to get a package?
Thinking: about what book to read after Harry Potter. Any suggestions?
THE FOCUS GROUP
4. Discover how to make my natural hair look good enough for a public appearance
I've been thinking about this one a lot in the past month. I let my hair air dry, without brushing it, to see what it really looks like these days. I also asked my sisters-in-law for tips and product suggestions (because the craziness that is my hair is going to need product to help). Gonna go shopping in the next week or two and then do some experimenting! The "public appearance" will most likely be church, because that's the only time I'm in public haha :)
30. Get my real bra measurement and get at least two bras that fit
I bought one bra in January, and it's literally the best bra I've ever had. They didn't have my exact size so I had to go a cup size lower, but it still fits great. I paid $38 for it, then I went online and saw that I could have bought 2 for that price. I'm a little salty about it and haven't bought a second one yet. But I will!
63. Read all the Harry Potter books again
I am sooo cloooose to being done with this. I'm in the 7th book, but I've been watching stuff and working so I haven't been reading much. As I said last month, I want to finish this before the middle of February, so I am still on track.
KEEPING YOU POSTED
1. Learn a style of lettering and create a piece of decor
So I started rewatching Psych and, because it's not anime and I don't have to read while I watch, I can write! So I've been watching Psych and lettering :) I'm still not very good, but I can see little improvements!
15. For one year go to the temple once a month
In January we went and did sealings! We were going to do a session, but then the front desk had the little "patrons needed for sealings" out and we felt like we should do that. So we did! :)
50. Write in my journal at least once a week for a year
This died in January. I would think "Oh! I need to write in my journal!", but then I wouldn't do it right away and I would forget again. I had decided to put the weeks I miss at the end of the year, but by now I might as well start over. So I am! Starting this week!
97. Get all achievements and reach level 10 on all skills in Stardew Valley
I broke down and finally started looking at the wiki. There are SO MANY things I didn't know about. One night I spent more time on the wiki than actually playing! But I have done some improving! And I don't hate fishing as much haha :) Here are the changes:
Skills: 10/10 Farming • 8/10 Mining • 9/10 Foraging • 3/10 Fishing • 7/10 Combat
Achievements: 13/23 (and I'm super close on 2 more!)

DAISY'S BOOK OF THE MONTH
Not a cat book! We got it during a particularly whiny trip to Kid to Kid. (They have books too!!) I tried to let her pick a book, but then she just wanted to take them all out and line them up on the floor. Then the tantrum started so I just grabbed this one: My First ABC Board Book by DK
