19. Get a new bedding set (8/8/17)

Hooray for passing off the first item from my list! Our previous bedding was stuff that I had before we were even married. I think I got the blanket and bed skirt back in high school. Before starting this list, I noticed that it had started ripping in some places and threads were coming loose - obviously we needed something new.

The "quilted coverlet," as the zulily website called it, was on sale for like half off. I originally bought a different pattern, but then I started having second thoughts because of our black furniture. For the next two days I kept thinking about how it may not match very well. It bothered me so much that I contacted zulily customer service and changed my order. (I'm insane, I know.) Luckily it hadn't shipped yet AND the sale was still on. This pattern was the only one with black accents. While it's not really my style, getting out of your comfort zone is good! Seeing it in our room makes me glad I bought it instead of the other one. We also like that it's thinner like our previous blanket. We're not fans of comforters - they're too bulky for me, and Jonathan gets too hot.

The sheets and bed skirt are just basic white ones from Wal-Mart. I was going to wait to pass this off until we got new pillows, but I just decided to wash our current ones instead and they're as good as new! Definitely going to make that a recurring activity from now on. My bedroom won't be going in a magazine anytime soon, but I'm pretty happy with how it looks. One down, 100 to go!

I want to break these monthly update posts into sections. This is probably kind of overkill, but I think it will help to give me direction and I feel like it will be easier for me too. If I finish a goal, I'll still do a separate post for it within the week I finish it (hopefully). Completed - 2 Meals per Week

55. For one month, plan and make at least 2 meals/week (9/7/2017) For our whole marriage I've been really bad at planning meals and making healthy dinners. We usually eat terribly. But I want to change that! So during the first weekend of August I planned about seven meals and did some major grocery shopping. I later came up with a few more. These are the meals I planned and the weeks I made them: Week of August 6th - Chicken & Broccoli Casserole, Chili & Cornbread Week of August 13th - Salisbury Steak, Chicken Taquitos Week of August 20th - Rainbow Wraps, Italian Dressing Pasta Week of August 27th - Mock Tacos, Oven Baked Chicken Week of September 3rd - Chicken Burritos, BLTs (There were a few small meals that I "planned," like I decided the night before that I was going to make Mac & Cheese the next day, but I didn't keep track of those. Half Credit? | #86 - Blood Type and #58 - Savings

86. Donate blood and find out my blood type - DONE-ish 3/16   58. $1500 in savings account - DONE-ish 10/16 I got sooooo close to accomplishing these two. Should I modify them and count them both? Is that allowed? (Sara? haha) I feel like I should at least count them together as one completed item - half credit each! So I wasn't able to donate blood, but I had to get some blood tests while I was pregnant and that allowed me to find out my blood type! I'm an A+. Jonathan is an A-. After I found out we joked about how my blood has better grades than his. On the savings account, we were able to get up to $1300 until a root canal and hospital bills required us to use it. So yeah, I got pretty close. I'll decide within the week how I want to count them. But at least they're documented!
