The Me Monthly - Volume 28

ME THIS MONTH
It's been a minute! Let me just say that me working outside of our house is not something that works very well for our family right now. It also doesn't help when you get pregnant, you are in a UC flare, and there are many other recurring issues going on at the same time. I'm very lucky and blessed to be able to work from home normally, and we're so happy that our situation also includes Jonathan having a good job. It lowers a lot of stress for all of us when I can be home (especially me). While 2020 has also been a bit of a roller coaster so far, it's been a lot more mild than other recent months. Needless to say, I was very happy to start a new year.

And now a bulleted list of some things that happened since my last update:

October
• Jonathan got a new job at Purple on a team doing 3rd-party supply chain stuff. It's been a really awesome change for us and he really enjoys working there!
• Found out I was pregnant!!
• Daisy dressed up as Kiki for Halloween, and Jonathan and I did our first couples costume ever and we were the Switch logo. And we went to a super fun Halloween party at the Petersen's to celebrate!

November
• Replaced parts of my computer
• Lots of nausea and low-energy
• Thanksgiving with Grandma Judy and family! It was super great and the food was amazing :) Played some great games and finished off my 51 games list, thanks to Dallas!

December
• Finished working (sad in some ways, but really good for us)
• Christian and Ziya got sealed! It was a lovely day and we're so glad we got to be there.
• I got food poisoning or something similar and ended up needing to go to the emergency room so I wasn't dehydrated. They ended up giving me 3L of fluid before I finally felt okay enough to go home.
• Because of that sickness, we ended up not going to St. George for Christmas :( It was a huge bummer, but we got through it. The rest of our Christmas week turned out all right. Jonathan's parents were here so at least we got to spend that time with them. They are still in Texas so it's been a while since we had spent time with them.

January
• New Year's Eve! We had friends over for games and yummy food. It was a really great time :)
• Our 5th anniversary! We went to see a movie (which is becoming a tradition for us - it was what we did for our first date) and we got cupcakes. Just a chill time with my love!
• Saw a lot of doctors - because having your first baby early and then having another baby makes everyone very cautious for you
• Dealt with a LOT of stress over potty-training. Daisy went like an entire week or more without pooping (twice!) and it was such a pain - for her and for us.
• Got my first cavity in like 10 years
• Kept trying to get back on my diet because FLARE. But mostly not getting there
• Found out we're having another girl!!

February
• My 27th birthday! We went to a movie, got dinner, and then we got a whole bunch of cheesecake. Jonathan surprised me with a board game I really wanted too! I had a good, chill day :)
• Potty-training basically conquered. Hallelujah. Thank you iPad and bribes.
• Went to the Emal's annual Oscar's party and had a super great time! (As usual!)
• More doctors, with some good news and some not as good news. Starting to take prednisone to help my flare, and hopefully having more energy/less bathroom trips, it will be easier to get back on my diet and finish off my pregnancy feeling a little better!

And now that I'm more caught up, it's the perfect time to announce that this is the last monthly update I'm going to do! My list ends on the 30th, so I'll just do a recap post of everything and then be done! With a baby on the way I don't know when I'll do another 101 list, but I am going to do a 20 in 2020 list for this year. I'll probably post that list and the things I complete on here when I can.

Even though this is my last monthly update and I want to be a completionist, I'm not going to have any of my other regular sections on here. I'm trying to catch up on all the things I've completed, finish up some easier ones, and then write posts for them (even though they're out of order - calm down perfectionist mind!!), so there's not any need to list stuff here too. I just wanted to do the update for the journal/feelings factor of everything :) This was definitely a more labor-intensive way of doing things. While I enjoyed being able to keep on track and record some things, I think I would do it a little differently next time. Still working on my perfectionism and ways I might over-explain things just because I think I need to for others. No matter what, I'm happy to have been able to grow more and have a record of my last few years because of these updates! Thanks to whoever took time to read these updates and supported me in the goals I was trying to complete! :)

Wanting: to organize and throw away and clean EVERYTHING
Excited: to finish up this list and my posts! I haven't done a count of how many I've passed off yet and I'm excited to see what it ends up being!
Anticipating: Spring!! I want it to be warm so badly! Also, I feel like lots of new things are on the way in general. We've had a pretty set routine for so long and things are definitely going to be different this year. I'm nervous, but I'm also optimistic about what's to come! :)
