The Me Monthly - Volume 23
ME THIS MONTH
Guess what! May was busy. Anticipated it and it happened. It was very stressful too. I honestly think I had a tiny flare up because of it. Needless to say, I'm glad to have that month behind me. Oh! A good thing! We've been going to the library a lot and I found some time to read! But yeah. Other than that I really don't remember much except for work and the feeling of being stressed, so this is about all you're going to get right now! The rest of the summer is shaping up to be pretty busy too, but I think after how this past month was it won't seem as bad.
Missing: tiger nut flour...I've been out all month and so I can't make my favorite AIP baked goods
Needing: a break...and for someone to tell me that everything I'm stressing about will work out...and a hug probably
Pinning: lots of perler bead layouts and cross stitch patterns to prep for a 30-day project I'm planning :)
THE FOCUS GROUP
18. Hang a gallery wall with pictures and decor
This might get done eventually...😅
36. Prepare something I would say to 3-5 famous people I would like to meet
I'm still not sure who those 3-5 people are, but I think this could be a fun one to work on for the summer :)
46. Learn how to tie 10 different knots
I just got released from Scouts (finally!!) so I should finally finish this goal. I learned like 6 knots while in scouts, and never got around to doing the final 4. I plan on re-learning the ones I know and finding 4 more useful knots.
12 PROJECTS - 30 DAYS
Project 10 - Parenthood Listography (June - Started)
Way back when I was pregnant, the lovely Sara gave me this book as a bridal shower gift! I have written in it a few times here and there, but not as extensively as I'd like. So for this 30-day project I'm writing a few things every day. June is the month that we brought Daisy home from the hospital, so I thought it was appropriate for the times :)

NUMBERED NEWS
28. Read 35 new books
7. The Lost Kingdom of Bamarre (5/13/19) - This is a prequel to The Two Princesses of Bamarre (which I love). It came out recently and I was so excited when my library finally had a copy available! It was a pretty quick, simple read, and I didn't want to put it down! I love TPoB and its world, so I was very interested to get some back story. I loved the themes of the story, and I think the main character's challenges were handled well. Her desire for approval was something I would have really connected with if I had read it as a tween/teenager. (I mean, I still connect with it now, but I'm in a much better place these days.) I think I would read this again, but it mostly just made me want to read TPoB for the hundredth time!
8. Ogre Enchanted (5/29/19) - This is a companion novel/prequel to Ella Enchanted, which is my absolute favorite book, so I had some relatively high hopes. And after reading Lost Kingdom, I assumed this would be mostly good too. Buuuuut nope. I was bored most of the time, I didn't really connect to any of the characters, the pacing was weird, and the choices/happenings of Ella Enchanted characters made me confused/mad. It took me forever to read just because I didn't actually want to read it, but I finished it because all of a sudden it was ending (again, pacing was weird). I feel like I need to read at least five amazing books to make up for this one haha
49. Play 51 new games (at least 15 award-winning)
38. Dice Stars (3/30/19) forgot about this one from a couple months ago!
85. Watch 101 new movies (at least 20 award-winning)
47. Godzilla: King of the Monsters (5/30/19)
DAISY'S BOOK OF THE MONTH
We've been going to the library a lot lately, and while we haven't read lots of our books for a while, there are still books I've bought that need to record here. I bought this book (along another one I featured here) at DI: Mother Goose's Pajama Party
Daisy calls this one "mudder doose" and loves a specific part in the story where treats and cake are passed around to all the characters. While some of the rhymes are a little cheesy, it's been a good one for right before bed.
