Completed - Blackhead Removal Mask

92. Do a blackhead-removal mask (4/28/2018)

I have blackheads! I also have fairly small pores/tight skin, so it's kind of hard to get them out. I've done pore strips for years and they never do much. I see ads for these blackhead removal masks all the time and they seem to get such good results! Buuuut it was a bust. I guess this is what I get for buying something that was advertised to me on Facebook. I was pretty sure it wouldn't work, but I still wanted to try it!
So I took a shower, washed my face, and slathered a ton of of this stuff on my face. At least I thought it was a ton. After I waited the 20-30 minutes, it dried pretty thin and it took me a while to get a peel going. And then - nothing. Well, except little tiny hairs. I seriously didn't get ANY blackheads. Although my face was really smooth after and it also didn't hurt, so those things were nice. (Also I discovered that I don't have any headbands...I should get one so I don't have to use bobby pins to keep my hair out of my face..)


Maybe I need to not do it after a shower, just at the end of the day after washing my face? Maybe I need to put a thicker layer on? Maybe I just need a different brand! I'll be trying it again, so we'll see if I get different results another time. Any suggestions or tips? Have any of you done a blackhead removal mask and had it actually remove blackheads? Have you wanted to do a mask like this?

I want to break these monthly update posts into sections. Completed - 2 Meals per Week

55. For one month, plan and make at least 2 meals/week (9/7/2017) For our whole marriage I've been really bad at planning meals and making healthy dinners. We usually eat terribly. But I want to change that! So during the first weekend of August I planned about seven meals and did some major grocery shopping. I later came up with a few more. These are the meals I planned and the weeks I made them: Week of August 6th - Chicken & Broccoli Casserole, Chili & Cornbread Week of August 13th - Salisbury Steak, Chicken Taquitos Week of August 20th - Rainbow Wraps, Italian Dressing Pasta Week of August 27th - Mock Tacos, Oven Baked Chicken Week of September 3rd - Chicken Burritos, BLTs (There were a few small meals that I "planned," like I decided the night before that I was going to make Mac & Cheese the next day, but I didn't keep track of those. Half Credit? | #86 - Blood Type and #58 - Savings

86. Donate blood and find out my blood type - DONE-ish 3/16   58. $1500 in savings account - DONE-ish 10/16 I got sooooo close to accomplishing these two. Should I modify them and count them both? Is that allowed? (Sara? haha) I feel like I should at least count them together as one completed item - half credit each! So I wasn't able to donate blood, but I had to get some blood tests while I was pregnant and that allowed me to find out my blood type! I'm an A+. Jonathan is an A-. After I found out we joked about how my blood has better grades than his. On the savings account, we were able to get up to $1300 until a root canal and hospital bills required us to use it. So yeah, I got pretty close. I'll decide within the week how I want to count them. But at least they're documented!
